SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to read more some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
